Testudo Collection
Originally created to furnish the suites of the new Stadio della Roma designed by MEIS architects, the collection, which is comprised of a lounge chair, dining chair and bar stool, is inspired by the overlapping shields from the Testudo formation used by the Roman Legions.
Designed at MEIS architects as lead industrial designer.
Design
The design focuses around the interaction between the metal frame and the seat rest. The steel tubes of the legs “puncture” through the seat rest and wrap around the back of the seat rest, adding support and extending out to create a handle.
